How to Take Screenshots and Record Your Screen on Windows A Simple Guide

To screenshot on Windows, press ‘Print Screen/PrtScn’ for full screen capture. It’s saved in the Pictures folder.

For a full-screen screenshot, press ‘Print Screen’ or ‘Alt’ + ‘Print Screen’. Open Paint, paste, and save your image.

To capture part of your screen, open ‘Snipping Tool’ from Start. Select ‘New’ and drag to capture your chosen area

 In Snipping Tool, after selecting the area, click ‘File’, then ‘Save As’ to name and save your screenshot.

 For Windows 10 users, press ‘PrtSc’ to copy the screen image. Paste it into a document with ‘Ctrl + V’ to save.

To record your screen, press ‘Windows Key’ + ‘Alt’ + ‘R’. Use the Xbox Game Bar to start and stop recordings.

Find your screen recording in the Videos/Captures folder. Xbox Game Bar doesn’t record the desktop or File Explorer.
